Who Can Join?

We invite anybody interested in the issues and topics we focus our efforts on to join. Membership is open to all Northbridge, MA residents who are:

• parents and/or guardians of a student attending a school within the School District on an IEP, 504 Plan, or unsure whether your child should be on one,
• parents and/or guardians of a student attending a school outside of the School District on an IEP, 504 Plan, or unsure whether your child should be on one,
• any resident with an interest in the Northbridge Parent Advisory Council,
• Students, ages 14+ (or earlier at the request of the family/guardian detailing the level of maturity and capability of participation), and
• Educators/Administrators within the School District are also encouraged to join

Benefits of Joining

There are several benefits to becoming a member of our organization. Our members

• forge friendships
• offer support
• offer information
• learn skills necessary to navigate the special education program
• and, of course, we all share a common bond - OUR CHILDREN!

How to Join

To join we need you to complete a membership form. You can download the membership form by using the link below, pick up a copy at any of the school offices or pick up a copy at one of our NPAC meetings. Please bring your completed application to the next scheduled meeting or mail it to us at our address on the form.

There is no fee to join the Northbridge Special Education Parent Advisory Council.

Email Distribution Group

Once you have completed and submitted an NPAC membership form, you should join our Google Group. This group is the primary mode of communication for sharing information regarding workshops, meetings, legislation, action alerts and other information of interest to parents, educators and administration. If you would like to join our Google Group, please enter your email address in the box below. This is an "announcement only" group and does require approval for membership. This group is not a discussion group between parents/families regarding questions or issues we may have.
